new superyacht marina is set to open this year at Tarragona, 50 miles south of Barcelona, close to the Balearic Islands.
International Marina Tarraco will have three docks (Muelle de Costa, Muelle de Levante and Muelle de Lerida), and a capacity for 90 yachts of lengths between 30m-120m, with a waiting key for vessels of up to150m.
The 24,000 sq m commercial area should be ready in 2005 and will be placed in Muelle de Lerida and Muelle de Levante. Muelle de Lerida will feature commercial units mainly for the superyacht chandlery businesses, and lockers, to keep the yachts' toys.
